I won't write anything here because I've written it all in the title, so theres no point writing it again or writing anything here.

    I hate religion.
Family was angry at her rejecting arranged marriage, so to keep their pride/respect in the community they murdered their daughter, why do you hat religion because it's "linked" to incidents like this?

Hmmm, can't think of a better way to keep my pride/respect intact, in the community, than by killing my own daughter. It must be done.

Don't get me wrong, Islam is not a religion I abhor by any means - some of the nicest, most open minded people I know are Muslim - but I hate the idea of arranged marriages.

You do realise arranged marriage and forced marriage isn't the same thing. I think arranged marriages used to be a bad thing because the bride and groom didn't even get to see each other until the marriage day. But it's improved immensely. Parents look for suitable matches and allow their daughters/sons to meet them and get to know them, by going out with them (with a chaperone) ant etc. They even exchange numbers and keep in touch with eachother until they feel ready to get married. I don't see how it's a bad thing, it's the equivalent to a match making website, but better as parents know their children better than anyone else.

I'm a muslim, my parents are neither easy going or too strict, which is fairly reasonable, though we do have disputes, noneoftheless it would never come to the extent that my parents would force me into marriage and condemn to death if i become rebellious and abandom my morals. My own parents are extreamly horrified about what happened to Shefillia, which now only reinaforces the media acquisition about Muslim parents: self reighteous islamic extremists, who want what they want for their daughter. Anything bad about muslims gets polarized, no doubt.

    Agree with you 100%
My parents are like that too, but what part of the (kill my daughter because she won't agree to marriage) is restoring pride?

Or do they hate that she's disagreeing with sooo much that the only option is to kill her?

To be honest Shefilia was unfortunate, her parents wanted what they want for their daughter, not what she wanted despite apparently being rebellious and drinking in the western culture. But to do and disclose your honor killing for that many years, pretty much renders pride.
