Title says it all, would you rather get just one gold or lots of bronze and silver?

One gold. But in a good sport so I could leverage. 100m running gold would suit me down to the ground.

Lots of gold - if i'm doing an event to get numerous medals, i'd want them to be all gold.

I would have the Gold definitely!! I guess it's just that feeling of immense satisfaction knowing that at one point in your sporting career you were number one and the best of the very best!

Gold. People only remember those who finish 1st. Unless it's heroic and truly special, like that Gemma who won Silver 8 years after her mum, who raised her up and introduced her to Judo, died, I thought that was a special moment. Will remember that girl, she was awesome!

Gold people usually only remember winners. Although wouldn't complain getting silvers either

I think one Gold, it's still impressive to be able to say you've won multiple Silvers and Bronze, but to say you have an Olympic Gold medal would be quite something

Gold, if it weren't, I would feel that I need to to prove myself to beat the rest/I want to have my moment

edit: Also, as humans, most of the time we desire what we don't have, I wouldn't feel satisfied without any gold tbh

1 gold for me would be worth multiple silvers, and bronze medals. The gold medal would also be the best bling around town, my homies would have nothing on me.

Unless I was getting silver medals in many different events such as 100m, football, basketball, and tennis then gold medal every time.

    Define 'lots'. :sherlock:

To be honest it would depend on my discipline. If I was a swimmer in different events, I might go for 'lots' of bronze and silver rather than a single gold.

For something like hockey, I would prefer the one gold. I have one chance every four years for that.

Gold. It doesnt matter how many silvers or bronze. That's why you see people crying when they get silver and they were so close to Gold

Actually most athletes cry when they get silver or bronze because of how happy they were to actually get that not because they were desperate for gold and are disappointed in getting 2nd/3rd best.

depends on the athlete, if they are one of the world's best, they will only be happy with gold, but if they have an outside chance, a medal is an achievement so rightly they will be tears of joy (I half agree with you(well mostly))

Would be over the moon with any Olympic medal! Bronze/Silver is something to be incredibly proud of.. but.. an Olympic gold medal. Now that would be something truly incredible.

Yeah your really going to throw away a medal that confirms you as the second or third best in your sport, something you trained incredibly hard for. Any medal is an achievement, receiving Gold is just an added bonus that confirms you as the best of the best.
