Is this a good price for a desktop?
Hi there! I've been computer/laptop hunting for a while now and I recently came across this.
http://aldi.medion.com/md8369/uk/?re...rozessor_anker
I don't know how reputable Medion is, but the specs look pretty good...
For gaming I would only play stuff like Sims 3 and Minecraft, but would it handle more graphically demanding games well?
Other than that I would only use it for school work. I don't know whether to buy this, or wait till later and get a laptop instead.
Thanks
Also the place I would get it from bundles Windows Pffice 2010 in for free. Looks decent tbh
EDIT: Aaaaaand I just posted in the Laptop section
Should this be moved?

But anyway Medion is owned by Lenovo who are a reputable brand.
The graphics will certainly handle Sims 3, Minecraft as well but to an extent as it is a ram and cpu intensive game so it'll struggling later on the more indepth you get into due to 4gb of ram and i would say it's the slow 1333mHZ speed one.
Depends on the games which are graphically demanding, which games?
Laptops will cost more if you want graphic intense gaming and Minecraft. -
Re: Is this a good price for a desktop? From what i'm reading Skyrim on medium settings at around 34fps but on 1280x720 resolution, should play WoW at much better fps and quality. Fallout also should be decent on medium, GTA if we are talking about the new one coming out I would be completely unsure.(Original post by HighwayUnicorn)
It's unlikely that I will get them, but games like Skyrim, Fallout, GTA and WoW. I don't really mind if it can't run those games though as it's not the main reason I'm buying the desktop. -

I think I'll take this over the laptop I am currently looking at right now. + rep for the advice

Re: Is this a good price for a desktop?
That PC should run games like Sims 3 and Minecraft perfectly fine, I'm not sure on the benchmarks for APU's though, that graphics card isn't dedicated it's part of the CPU more demanding games will suffer due to the APU sharing it's power between the graphics and CPU. Though I'm not 100% sure on that, google benchmarks for the APU. All other activities the PC would be perfectly fine.
