If my results are on the 12th will I receive a confirmation on that day ?
I'm awaiting my results (CIE A Levels) on the 12th of August.
I was wondering whether :
a) Track would update for me and tell me the status of my offers on the 12th
b) UCAS will send me the email (referred to below) with my decision ?

Got this email from UCAS today, looks like we'll get our university decisions by email now! Probably to prevent a repeat of last year
Changes to UCAS email policy
To ensure you remain informed about the status of your application, we have changed our email policy. We had said that we would not send you emails with information about the decisions made by institutions, but we do now plan to send emails to applicants about the status of their offers. This will ensure that you get information much more quickly. -
Re: If my results are on the 12th will I receive a confirmation on that day ?
Track wont update until the 16th, UCAS wont send you the email until the 16th.
I'm afraid you'll have to wait until the UK A level results get published
You *might* be able to get your unis to confirm something over the phone but they'll be VERY busy that week trying to get all of the results/decisions processed and sent to UCAS in time for results.

However, if my results match my firm then my firm is legally required to accept me, correct ?
They cant, for example, deny me entry on grounds of oversubscription, correct ? -
Re: If my results are on the 12th will I receive a confirmation on that day ?correct.... if you meet the offer conditions than they would not deny you a place even if they are oversubscribed.(Original post by Ari Ben Canaan)
