TSR Share Trading Competition II - Interest Thread
Hi guys,
Some of you may remember that a couple of months back I set up a share trading competition for TSR members as per the following link:
http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=2024169
The competition has been successful so i've started the process of possible setting up a second round that should be even more fun and that will feature cash prizes. Please note however, that this is only the interest thread. Nothing has been confirmed so all you need to do it post below signalling your interest.
The main points are as follows:
- No real money is involved in the share trading
- You don't need to have any idea of what it involves - all will be explained
- you don't need to have had any previous investing experience
- the competition would rollover every month so each month you get a clean slate!
- 1st prize = £50, 2nd prize = £40, 3rd prize = £30
- The prizes are available for every month
If you are interested, then simply put a short comment below. Like I said, this is only a thread to gauge the levels of interest and no firm commitment is needed at this point. The competition doesnt require hours of work either.

Re: TSR Share Trading Competition II - Interest Thread
The problem with a one month and wipe competition is that the optimal strategy is pile everything into a single high risk stock and then hope and pray its doubles then sell. Some careful research can improve your chance of finding such a stock but it doesn't lead to good real world strategy.
