Best value for money laptop?!?

    Best value for money laptop?!?
    Heyyyyy!

    My Dad bought me the new iPad 3 for taking notes in lectures etc, but I want a decent laptop for writing essays and dissertations with etc...

    I want it too stay cool cause mine currently burns my leg! And have a decent battery life!

    Im a complete nonce at computing any help would be much appreciated! :cool:

    Oh and i don't really want a mac!:confused:

    £350 it was cheaper just a few days ago


    Has upto 5 hours battery life.

    Also with the heat, it's just how laptops are, they are much hotter than desktops due to ventilation.
    They should be regularly cleaned for dust build up, think about a cooling pad.
