Mobile phones, networks, contracts...
Hi!
I'm almost sure there's a lot of information on that issue somewhere but i've decided to ask you guys
I'm an EU citizen who's going to study in Scotland from September and I'm currently wondering about signing a contract (pay monthly) so that i could get a nice smartphone for free. I think i can give up to 30 pounds per month so i find this kind of deals suitable for me. The problem is that I haven't lived here for three years or something like that so i cannot sign a contract. I'm not sure whether i understand everything completely... maybe i don't... Maybe i should buy a nice phone from here and then use 'pay as you go'.. Any advice (networks too) is welcome
)

You don't need to be a British citizen, but you do need to have lived in the UK for at least three years.
I heard that you can start with Pay as you go with Orange and after 3 months they give you the opportunity to sign a contract but i'm not that sure plus this restricts you from choosing other networks..
