When exactly is freshers?? I'm starting my course on Monday 24th so I'm guessing it's then and my course doesn't actually "start" then because I don't move in until Weds 19th

Which university will you be at? I believe the freshers for the main uni starts on the 19th, don't quote me on it though because I could be wrong. Ours was the 18th last year you see.

If you're studying at Cardiff it says that term actually starts on 1st October. So maybe 24th onwards is freshers?

Freshers last year technically started the week before freshers week. The first night out of the year is the most popular one at the student union which is called the lash which is on a Wednesday so those who move down on the first possible day (which I assume will be the 19th) will have the chance to go to the first night out of the year. But yeah freshers week officially will begin on the 24th.

1st October,is it true?30th september is the freshers ball,everyones in a state afterwards....and courses start the next morning?

14th? Which halls will you be in? I thought accomodation doesn't open til the 19th.

Glad I'm not the only one going private! All the Facebook pages and forums on here seem to be filled with people going into halls. I thought I was the only one who hadn't gone for that option and was gonna be missing out big time :P

1st semester starts 1st October, and yes, its horrific.
