Jogging and dogs
Usually, when I go for a jog in a local field, I will be chased & harrassed by any dog that simply ignores it's owner who then says they cannot understand why the dog is behaving this way.
Isn't the truth that they simply havn't trained the dog to obey them?Last edited by NJA; 05-08-2012 at 02:07. -
Re: Jogging and dogsHow often do you jog?(Original post by tazmaniac97)
Maybe the dogs just don't like you, try changing your perfume.
(I'm guessing rarely) -
Re: Jogging and dogs
I hate dogs in parks. Not all dogs but the out of control ones, which are potentially all dogs since they are mere beasts. I wanna shoot them as I run. They're a hindrance to my next PB.
Also why doesnt Britain have laws so that owners must clean up their dog poo. It's disgusting to have dog poo in public pathways and playing fields. -
Re: Jogging and dogsIt does... Shocking I know, but not everyone follows the law...(Original post by silent ninja)

And you want to shoot peoples pets yet they are the ones who are "mere beasts"...Last edited by callum9999; 05-08-2012 at 02:16. -
Re: Jogging and dogsAccording to your profile you live in Seoul and visit London less than once a year. I don't see what you would know about jogging in rural England?(Original post by tazmaniac97)
I jog everyday actually, and the dogs all love me, even though I don't like them back. So shame! -
Re: Jogging and dogsYes. They are animals. If their 'pets' are harassing me they deserve to be shot. It's not my fault the owners can't control them.(Original post by callum9999)
It does...

Really? There's dog poo just about everywhere in Britain. I hate that. Go abroad, it's much less common. You have kids playing in parks and dog **** a few feet away. Never seen anyone pulled up by the authorities for not picking up dog poo...Last edited by silent ninja; 05-08-2012 at 02:19. -
Re: Jogging and dogsI don't see basset hounds coming up with the necessary components to build an MP5. Just sayin'(Original post by callum9999)

Disclaimer: I do not advocate the shooting of innocent dogs. -
Re: Jogging and dogsYeah well I used to live in England once upon a time ok, but now I jog everyday in Seoul. Gosh!(Original post by NJA)

I spend a large proportion of my life abroad - it isn't a problem unique to the UK... Obviously it's illegal though... I find it hard to believe it's legal anywhere (in the more developed world anyway). What exactly do you imagine the authorities are going to do? Employ a team of CSIs to analyse it and then launch stake-outs until they find the dog? If someone with the power to prosecute or fine people ever sees it happening then you'll get fined. Councils generally have bigger things to worry about though...
And I don't see what on earth that has to do with anything I said... Just sayin' (Sorry, that last phrase just really gets on my nerves!).(Original post by Bobo1234)

Re: Jogging and dogs
did you give one of them a treat once? they never forget that, hounded for life. gave a dog half a twix on the way to the cinima once it now follows me for about 5 minutes whining everytime I walk past that way. It apparently has an owner since it has a collar and is pretty fat but I just see it wandering around alone no idea who it belongs to.

Re: Jogging and dogsI was just pointing out that "mere beasts" deserve the distinction because of their lower cognitive abilities, and the last phrase was meant in a kind of sarky fashion(Original post by callum9999)
