Léon is such a stunning film.

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

    Léon is such a stunning film.
    Nothing else to add. Re-watched it a few days ago and I forgot how simply incredible it is.

    One of the only films to nearly make me cry at the end, and I'm not even ashamed of it.

    Natalie Portman was so sweet . The ending was so... beautiful. What a song to finish the film, so heart wrenching.

    :rolleyes:.

    The song really sets/captures the tone of the film. Such an awesome film too.

    I suppose I'm one of the few who didn't really like it much. :o: I thought a lot of the dialogues were really very bad, I thought the characterization was a bit limited, and I thought Portman was actually pretty annoying. To be honest, I spent most of the movie waiting for Gary Oldman's next scene; he alone does make it worth watching, I though. :p: Some of the production aspects were nice as well, of course (it being Besson).

    Yeah, it's a great movie. One of my favourites. Simple but excellently executed.

    I agree with the ''Gary Oldman'' bit.

    I don't dislike the film. I just don't get why its considered to be so ''great'' by so many people. Its a decent thriller IMO. That's all.

    I enjoyed the film but to me it was just...meh. The most powerful film I watched was The Pianist. Amazing.

    I agree. Fantastic film.
    Probably the only film I enjoy with Natalie Portman and I love an evil Gary Oldman.

    I was responding to a post on another site and a quote from the movie struck me as a reply. Couldn't find exactly what I wanted so cropped it down and came back with this;

    Such an amazing part of the movie.

    He's truly terrifying. The part at the beginning of the film where he intimately sniffs Mathilda's dad was completely improvised according to IMDB. Amazing.
