how to do well in geology degree ??? help.please

any tips on how to do well , how to prepare ? i really really wanna do well , get 2:1 above. pls tell me how. i have no idea where to start . how to study ?
im going to do this degree next year. its university portsmouth for geology degree good ?

and is there like a special geology blog for university students ?

It's the same as any degree - work hard! You won't know how to start if you haven't even got to uni yet. Listen in lectures, participate in seminars and do extra reading.
