India vs Britan boxing match: Cheating.
There was that boxing match going on last night between Stalker and Kumar. I saw it and clearly the matched belonged to Kumar. He was full on aggressive. What I don't know is how he lost. Stalker didn't clearly play well. This is obvious cheating done by the English. Stalker lost the match in all respects.

Why is it cheating by the English? o.O

    Referee was Argentinian.

Judges were from Brazil, Turkey, South Korea, Lithuania and Morocco.

Haven't seen the fight as very rarely watch boxing but still, how was it cheating?

I did also think Kumar was the winner but i guess i didnt see it as clearly as you did. I saw it as round 2 and 3 to Kumar but round 1 to Stalker. It did baffle me a bit but i didnt think there was foul play or anything maybe just a very close match.

I bet none of the judges were from Britain. Nice try anyway.

Some times referees give the side to the local player and i think this happen in the most of the sports events.

Stalker won it the first two rounds. And, by the way, it is not about who was more aggressive, it is about who throws more punches (that land obviously.)

Since when were points awarded for aggression? It's like saying a tennis player hit the ball higher so they should win the point.

Amateur boxing is a scoring sport, completely unlike pro boxing. If you land a lot of clean scoring shots, you score more, regardless of how much advantage they would give you in a pro match.

It works both ways. In the Super Heavy contest last night, Anthony Joshua knocked down the Chinese fighter and had him down for 8, as well as dominating the round. At the end of the round, it was scored very close (8-6 I think) as the Chinese fighter had landed some shots during the exchange in which he was knocked down - even though they weren't effective.

With Olympic boxing, you have to get out of your head the idea that it's the same kind of combat sport. It actually is a points competition.

Lol. The referee was certainly bribed. You could see it through the whole way that Kumar was winning.
