How do I download apps from the android market without using wifi?
i read this online but dont understand please explain this or suggest other ways?
Hello, in android marked find out the name of the app you want to download and if possible a link for the app builder. Find out the site for app builder site and see if they have the .apk file there for download.. If they do have it, download ,apk file to your computer and then transfer file to memory card through USB. Once that is done, install app from your phone.Last edited by WhisperOfLove; 05-08-2012 at 13:42. -

That doesn't make much sense, but from what I can gather that is how to download apps from your laptop and transfer them onto your phone.
Do you have a 'Play Store' on your phone? If you do, or have something similar go on that and then just search and download the apps, if you have a data allowance. -
Re: How do I download apps from the android market without using wifi?thanks for your comment. I don't have much data allowance that's the problem. And there is zero% wifi where I live..(Original post by SpiggyTopes)

Re: How do I download apps from the android market without using wifi? The method you have described involves transferring the installation file onto the phone and then launching it rather than downloading it directly. I believe a .apk file is similar to a .exe on Windows. You could do that but it seems a very odd way to do it. I would only do that if I wanted to install an app not on the Play Store.(Original post by WhisperOfLove)

The normal way to download apps is of course just to go in to the Play Store app and download the app over wifi or 3G. If you can't get wifi you could use your data contract - most apps aren't that large (around 5-10 MB). Failing that you could try and connect your phone to the internet via your computer. With a HTC you can do this by plugging in the phone with USB and selecting "Internet pass-through".
Finally you could go to a café with wifi or a library and use their wifi. -
Re: How do I download apps from the android market without using wifi?
Wait what,
How are you connected to the internet now? Wi-Fi is not the same as 3G, many network false advertise "Free Wi-Fi" - if you have a wireless router, then you'll have Wi-Fi, which you can use any device that has Wi-Fi to connect to it without paying extra.(Original post by WhisperOfLove)
