I'm gay. I've always been attracted to guys and never girls. There's this one girl at work who's beautiful. Today I felt like I wanted to have sex with her, even though vagina repulses me. Maybe I like the look of her because she looks a bit like a guy I used to go out with. I could never see myself having a relationship with her. It wouldn't work simply because she's a girl. I could never walk down the street holding hands with her, and I'm not attracted to her personality.

Well, that makes you gay. Sex is one thing, but the fact that you say you couldn't envisage a relationship with her, but have had a relationship with another guy, means that you are gay.

Being gay is not about sex, nor is it sexual attraction. It really is what feels natural in terms of relationships.

Like I said, most people are not 100% gay or straight, and they do occasionally think about the opposite sex sexually.

It doesn't mean they aren't gay.

Sexuality is such a complicated thing and is not that straight forward. I believe that sexuality is a spectrum. Some people are know that they are definitely straight while others are defiinitely sure they are gay but others are somewhere in between. I think it also depends on the person. Some people have been straight their whole lives and all it takes is for one person to turn them. How old are you? Age is also a factor. Especially when you are young you are still trying to figure out your sexuality and who you are attracted to. When you're young, your hormones are still all over the place and are constantly changing. Maybe it's just curiosity. Is it just lust? How do you feel about her as a person? do you know her and like her as a person? How would you feel about dating her?

Keep an open mind, just follow your emotions and see what happens. Your sexuality may be changing.

18 is still quite young. Your hormones are still all over the place and haven't settled.
