    LJMU end of year date?
could anyone be able to tell me the date John Moore usually finishes for summer,
and is it different for 1st years?
also when would the return date usually be for heading into 2nd year?
    thanks.

For some reason, I've got the date 21st April in my mind, but that could be completely wrong.

1st Year contracts are usually for 42 weeks, I dont know if all the halls are the same but for Prospect Point this means an end date of 29th June 2013 based upon a start date of 8th September 2013. It should be detailed on your AST you have signed, so have a quick check, if not just ring your halls, im sure they will be happy to help you.
With regards to your return date, this is usually at the beginning of September again but if you needed to move in earlier or stay later after your contract end, just check with your halls, you may be able to extend

Thanks, however I'm not staying in halls, I meant the end date for when classes come to an end

Completely misunderstood you, sorry about that. Usually your teaching does end earlier, so April probably is about right but i think each department is different due to coursework and exams etc. You then usually re-enroll around the end of August with teaching starting towards the end of September.

This is from LJMU website so hopefully this will help you when it is confirmed

Hi, uni ends for the summer usually in the first or second week of April. Semester 2 finishes at the end of March, then there is two weeks spring break and then three weeks for assessment. It's different for a few courses such as Nursing and Social Work due to placements, and I think some courses which have portfolios.
