Seriously thinking of deffering, but unsure?
I've applied to study 2D animation, but am now having second thoughts on my choice of course mainly due to the amount on money uni is going to cost, how much my parents are going to have to pay for me to attend and because I'm not even really sure if animation is my true calling. Another aspect is how much work I would actually get with a 2D animation degree.

I think I felt like I needed to go to university this year, and this course seemed fun and appealing, but now i'm seriously reconsidering....

My parents are keen for me to go (mainly because they don't know how I'm feeling!) and i'm really worried about disapointing them. Do you think there is still a possibility I could defer?

    Thank you for the help!

Contact the university and ask them if you can defer your place

i'm in the same position as you :{ i'd say contact your uni, see what they say about late deferrals and from there i'd wait to make a decision until you get your results. if your heart is truly set on a gap year i say go for it, but make sure you have structured plans for it (no necessarily travelling) and reassure your parents with this if they are worried (like mine) that you'll bum around and not do anything and end up never going to uni
    good luck!
