Why do people hate rich people
Theirs a small section of society in this country who despise rich people and the class system. I just want to know why because too me I'm not bothered I never think about it because I'll never be able to get that much money so theirs no point in complaining. The same for class, if someone is of the high society it has nothing to do with us it's a free country they can spend their money on what they want.

Re: Why do people hate rich people
Some people believe rich people haven't worked nearly as hard enough for their money compared to lets say, a cleaner who raises three kids and works 40+ hours a week to earn just over £5 an hour. Some people also believe that rich people should help out the less fortunate/greater majority, and others could be jealous I guess.

Re: Why do people hate rich people
They don't hate rich people, they hate the inequality that is deeply rooted within Britain.

Re: Why do people hate rich peopleThere really isn't that much inequality between rich people and poor people in Britain.(Original post by zaliack)

If you want to see real economic inequality go to Brazil, India, China or even the USA. -
Re: Why do people hate rich peopleI know what you're saying so basically it's a culture of entitlement and if they can't have something somebody else has they don't like it.(Original post by FrescoDiMorte)

Re: Why do people hate rich peopleYes the USA and China has worse inequality than us, but we are still pretty high up there for a western country, especially when we are compared to the likes of Germany, Norway, Sweden etc. Even Greece has better equality than we do, despite them about to go under in debt.(Original post by No Man)

Re: Why do people hate rich peopleWe're a country of 60 million with a capitalist society where everyone is out to make a buck. It's their fault if the fall behind in the race.(Original post by zaliack)
