    According to the BBC it's 05:24 GMT

    To be fair, descent and landing can mean two different things...

    Id just pick the earliest of the times...

    Lol yeh that's why I was getting confused with the times. The descent is apparently half 5-ish but it's 06:30 for landing according to this

    I'm no expert but a 1 hour ish length between starting decent and actually landing doesn't sound too off to me... Start descent as in start lowering altitude ...and landing as in touch the ground

    Wow, sounds really exciting. I never knew just how difficult it is to engineer a landing on Mars.

    Me too. Just hit 80k on here. I was saddened when I realised I have no one to send this to who I know - not because it's too late, but because none of them would find this remotely interesting :rolleyes:

    It will to us! But that's not much really; I don't think the layman understands how important this is in finding if there was life previously on Mars.
