I added a layer in a photoshop to change the skin tone of a photo slightly. However, I am not happy with it, but when I delete the layer nothing changes. It seems I can delete the layer, but the actual effect remains. Does anyone have any idea how I can delete the layer and remove any effects within the layer at the same time?

If it's an effect, is it showing a little eye symbol next to the effect name on the layer? If you click the eye, the effect will disappear.

Or is the effect on a different layer? Have you got any screenprints please?

make sure all of the layer is unlock? restart ur software? sometimes my hang software gives me headache too

Sometimes I need to delete a layer twice in order for it to really leave, or press shift when deleting.
