Should I start looking over AS early?
This has been on my mind for a while and was just wondering what is best. Should I study a little of AS to feel more confident when I start Sixth Form or should I just relax and enjoy the rest of the summer?
I do have some books for C1 and S1 for Maths and Further Maths and some books on French. But, I haven't even bothered to get anything for History, which is why I wonder if it's really necessary to start looking over it all before college, as I presume many will not have done any studying over the holidays.
Has anyone else here on TSR started looking over stuff for A level before they started college? -
Re: Should I start looking over AS early?
study a bit of C1/S1(whichever exam you sit in Jan), it'll give you a head start and help you in class. Quite a bit of C1 is a breeze.
I'm guessing you're taking French because you're interested in it/enjoy it, so read a few pages of your french book.
2/3 hours a week would be fine, do more if you feel necessary -
Re: Should I start looking over AS early?
For me, it wasn't worth trying to learn anything before I went into sixth form. The one thing I did do and it did help is to go back over the foundations of your subjects, so I went back through French Grammar rules and stuff, and relearnt some of GCSE maths as I'm not that naturally good at it. Basically, make sure you're 100% on your old course and things you can transfer across to the next year.

Re: Should I start looking over AS early?I'd say just relax. I was thinking about doing this last year, but I didn't, and honestly, you have plenty of time once you start school to cover everything. If anything, I'd refresh your GCSE maths, as half of C1 is basically just gcse, so it'll be a breeze. That's what I did! It was great when I started back at school and everyone had forgotten everything, but I raced through it.

Its brilliant and tailored to edexcel
I'm in year ten using it and am now comfortable with C1 and 2... And nearly comfortable with 3
and also M1.
For the book I'm using their book, but I dislike it... And it doesn't help that I'm with WJEC.
although the first maths modules are easy C1 and C2, I'm saying this and I'm in year ten so
should be much easier
