How can I make my hair look sleeker and with more volume?
This is my hair at the moment
Spoiler:Show
I really want it to look really sleek and voluptuous with that kind of kim sears/kate middleton look.
Have you got any products you would recommend? Everytime I try a mousse it just makes me hair feel kind of crispy, i really want it to be soft and smooth.
Any ideas? -
Re: How can I make my hair look sleeker and with more volume?I can only speak from my own experience, I use Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Volume spray when I dry my hair, also drying it upside down sometimes helps (I can't do this anymore because I have a fringe so drying it upside down would have hilarious consequences!). I also use John Frieda Mousse in a very small amount just at the roots to give them a boost. For making it look shiny there is a good spray by Toni+Guy called finishing shine spray or something (I used to have it but lost it) and also morrocan oil/argan oil is good (but only in small amounts or it can look greasy)(Original post by metric)
Have you got any sprays you would recommend? Thanks for your advice
and thanks haha!

Re: How can I make my hair look sleeker and with more volume?Awesome thanks, I'm gonna look up some more reviews on these! I've heard John Frieda products are great for volume! I'd probably avoid the Moroccan oil as my hair is so fine anyway it just gets greasy too quickly(Original post by LavenderBlueSky88)

Re: How can I make my hair look sleeker and with more volume?
sorry for posting it here, it might not be the right thread for this. I have a long hair and my problem is, every time I comb my hair after bathing, I looses many strands of it. It makes me sad and I am worried that I may get bald. So i wonder if anybody could suggest a remedy on it. I would greatly appreciate.
thank you. -

I normally use this treseme spray then after I wash it, I spray it, then blow dry my hair with my babyliss hair straightner/ dryer. It's really good- it looks like a brush, and it is, but it's also got a straighter but in the middle and hot air - just £25 from Argos with a three in one

Re: How can I make my hair look sleeker and with more volume?
I tried loads of products but eventually found a simple routine which suits my hair - worth a try to see if it works for you, too!
Wash hair, use Aussie Volume Shampoo (x2). No conditioner. Towel dry. Rub a tiny bit of conditioner (shine / colour protect / for dry hair) over your hands and run through your hair. Blow dry upside down. Bit more conditioner / serum on the ends only. Spray a bit of dry shampoo (Batiste XXL Volume) on your fingertips and fluff up your roots. Style.
Very quick, simple, cheap - and effective!

Re: How can I make my hair look sleeker and with more volume?
120ml Conditioner
60ml Honey
15ml Olive Oil
Mix, leave on overnight with a shower cap
Wash out in the morning with shampoo and then condition.
Use a volumising spray on the roots and tussle with the ends of your fingers while drying with the cool setting on a blow dryer
and thanks haha!
