Hi, so my place in Mathematics and Psychology at Stirling Uni was this morning accepted.
Would it be viable for me to travel to Stirling from Dreghorn/Irvine daily ?

I don't think so. According to Google Maps, driving would take over an hour, and public transport about 1 hour 45 mins.

It isn't an awful commute if you are up for it and if the cost of commuting isn't insane. I know plenty of people who drove for around an hour to get into uni as they decided to live at home.

My current commute to uni for my masters can be an hour each way in traffic for only 15miles.

If you're driving and it's an hour then it's doable (but I would suggest difficult and to be avoided, especially at undergrad). The hour and forty five minutes on public transport would be an absolute killer. If you're doing a subject where you're in every day I would really strongly advise against it.

As others have said, driving it might be doable; public transport would kill you.
Anyway, why do you want to stay at home? The Stirling campus is amazing, and the first year of uni is supposed to be one of the best of your life (if you're in halls).
