Re: Higher Admin and Higher Business ManagementTry contacting your school and see how they feel about appealing for you to see if it's worthwhile.(Original post by Mhaidari)
I just got an F for Business Management :/ My predicted grades were all As and my Prelim was a C for Business Management though... any ideas what I can do?
Personally I got a shock, I sat Admin last year and BM this year. BM's my favourite subject and got a B in the prelim but then I completely ran out of time in the exam and thought I failed - ended up getting a B again. Edit: meant to say I also completely ran out of time in Admin last year and failed the written part but my computer work brought it up to a B.
I've found most people who thought they did well in BM didn't and vise versa, I thought the questions were difficult though and I'm surprised by my grade not gonna question it though.
Good luck if you put an appeal in!

Re: Higher Admin and Higher Business ManagementNo, I sat Int 2 English and Int 1 Maths aswell. Absolutely distraught, worked so hard especially for these(Original post by Tycho)
Are these the only two that you sat?

Re: Higher Admin and Higher Business ManagementHey try to relax a bit. I know it must be difficult for you and you will be disapointed, but time will help you get over it. You have many more years ahead of you and will have lots of new opportunities to retry these. I presume you're still quite young, correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps my experience will help you...(Original post by midgetgemx3)

I left school at 16 without even trying any Highers. I did reasonably well in my Standard Grades, but didn't work particularly hard and - therefore - didn't achieve my potential. Until I was about 19 I had barely held down a job for any more than a month or so, never did much to extend my qualifications and was depressed. I came to the realisation that I must do something for myself to improve my quality of life. I got a job and am still there today having been promoted to a position earning more than £20k. In the last few years I have followed up on my career goal to become a pilot and am now - at the age of 24 - fully qualified. This year I did three Highers in evening classes (Maths, Physics and English) and got AAB. So sometimes a bit of life experience and age can help you appreciate that when you are young you still have a long time to sort yourself out and many more opportunities will come your way. Keep your chin up; keep working hard and the success will eventually come. -

just the whole shock of it at first was horrible! I'm going to try and get in to college next year after I finish my apprenticeship so I can hopefully try and get some more qualifications like higher english or try and achieve some form of maths qualification... Cause i'm really useless at it haha. But the evening classes does sound quite good, I could try that aswell! Thanks so much!
