Car Insurance Question
Hi I am a new driver and I had a very small collision with another car giving both our cars a little scuff. I reported the incident to the insurance company however neither side is going to be making a claim. My question is will I still have this on record as an accident and will it affect my NCB or renewal cost?
thanks -
Re: Car Insurance Question
A claim is when your insurance company needs to payout money to the other party to fund repairs. If neither sides makes a claim, then there's nothing to payout, so no, it won't be on your record as far as I know.
This can vary by company though, so it might be an idea to call and ask. -
Re: Car Insurance QuestionWhy did u report it to the insurance comp for if neither were gonna claim or do anything.(Original post by naman)

Re: Car Insurance Question
It's worth giving your insurance company a call rather than asking people who you don't know online who have no idea about your policy or insurance company. If you don't feel comfortable phoning them see if they have an online chat helpline on their website. They can't always solve every question but I imagine it is quite a generic answer to them.
