Have I to wrap a box of chocolates up if it's a present?

Have I to wrap a box of chocolates up if it's a present?Might sound silly, but would you? I don't think wrapping a box of chocolates up is necessary really, and in the past I have handed them with the card, unwrapped. I know they are quite frequently wrapped too.
Just wondering! Birthday tomorrow and I'm thinking I'll just hand them unwrapped. -

I think it is the thought that counts and anyway most choc boxes look really nice by themselves anyway - take thorntons someof their boxes actually come with a bow and stuff
Relax - you made the effort - that'll be more than other people I suspect
