Students with Childen
hey there!
So, I am 20 years old and I have two children, aged 5 and 1.
I'm starting my course in Criminology in September at Winchester.
I was just interested in getting to know any other students who have children?
Please feel free to comment!
NB: Please do not use this thread to share your opinions/views of teenage parents. This thread is solely for the purpose of connecting with other students who will be studying whilst they are caring for children.

Thank you.

Re: Students with Childen
I am a mummy to a 5 month baby boy. I'm 23 and in my final year of a BA (hons) Ed Studies, I currently am on Mat leave but usually I also work more or less full time hours at a local primary school as an SSA.
All I can say is make sure you have plenty of support in place, not only childcare wise but for yourself. You need it more than ever when you're juggling children and studies.
Good luck ladies :] -
Well done on almost completing your degree - go you! And yeah, a good support network is important to have - thats how I managed to finish GCSEs and A Levels!(Original post by mummyvee)

But you just really need to be sure you like what you are going to do or you wont be motivated enough to do all the independant work with it! :-)

Re: Students with ChildenI agree you have to be so sure about what you want to do, especially when you have children because you're not just having to juggle your life but your children's as well.(Original post by SheridanLM91)

I admit there have been times when I have just felt like giving up, my pregnancy was awful so I'm surprised I didn't call it a day then. I think because achieving is not just for you any more it's for your children too, then you stick at it?
You have done so well coping with two children at only 20, achieving your GCSEs and A Levels and now another course in September. I bet you're looking forward to it!! I don't think I could've done that you know, I don't think people realise what a big impact children can have on your emotions and lives in general.
