How much would you kill someone for?
I read somewhere that the average price for a hitman is £10,000. It's bonkers to think that someone would do this for such a small amount.
Would you kill for money?
The person is someone you dont know and have just a few photos to help identify the individual.
The payment is untraceable.
I find this a curious topic. -
Tbh even if we said yeah we'll kill for 'this amount' , the fact is when you actually have a gun pointing at someone's head, the natural moral human instinct is you probably wouldn't have the guts to do it ? Could just run away with the money though haha

Re: How much would you kill someone for?You should also be against things like welfare and the NHS then, if you respect the dignity of persons, rather than utilitarianism.(Original post by Dobrzynski)
If you think about it, money like 10 million pounds could save so many lives.
Despite that, I wouldn't be able to do it, even if logic tells me more lives would be saved.
It confuses me that people would almost never kill one person to save two, but would happily rob one person to do so. -
Re: How much would you kill someone for?No, I'm not against welfare and the NHS. I was just pointing one thought process that might come across ones mind when contemplating this. I was speaking on behalf of my own strength (or weakness) as a person to commit such an act, not what I believe to be as right.(Original post by Aspiringlawstudent)

Re: How much would you kill someone for?... so you're against doing something bad to one person even if it will benefit two or more people, but you're for welfare and the NHS?(Original post by Dobrzynski)

Don't you think that's contradictory? -

Let me make this clear. I believe the NHS and welfare is a good and fair system. The title of this thread is "How much would you kill someone for?". Regardless of logic or beliefs, I could never bring myself to kill someone. -

No.

That seems stupid. -

I wouldn't kill someone I knew nothing about, unless they were trying to kill me..
