    3rd Year Psychology Student
Hi, I'm just about to go into my 3rd year of University in September to complete my BSc Psychology course, but I've decided that a job relating directly to this is not something I want to do. I was just wondering if anyone knew how I would go about going into Mental Health nursing after I've completed my degree. Would I have to do another 3rd year degree in nursing or is there a quick route into this field as I will already have a degree in Psychology? Thank you to anyone who can help

Hi SophieLouise. It would be better to ask these questions in the Healthcare and Nursing forum, as they will know about the requirments and pathways in to nursing.

Hi, there are some universities that do an accelerated Nursing course for graduates - so you could do the course in two years (as far as I'm aware).

E.g. City University London do an accelerated postgraduate diploma in nursing, so you might find it helpful to have a look at that link. There are obviously other unis who do similar courses, that's just the first one I thought of when I was trying to remember where I saw about it!
