    Corrupt powerpoint file?
    Hi all

Hope someone can help. I was editing a .ppt file i downloaded and saved it to my memory stick. No error messages or anything came up and there were no problems while I was working on it. I try to open it again the yesterday and it's coming up with being unable to open that type of file!

I've tried renaming it to .pptx, used online file converters - no joy. Even used system restore, no luck. Anyone else know of anything else i can try? Thanks in advance!

Could you give us some more details on what you were doing. Were you editing online? What is the office suite you're using called? Do any of the other files work on your USB? Could you show a screenshot of the error?

The file had already been downloaded and I was editing it straight from my memory stick. It opened up fine with MS PPT 2010. Saved ok, no warning messages or anything.

    Thanks

As you told you have tried every possible thing so far, but however no joy. So in this circumstance you need to use a third-party recovery tool.
