Mature student redoing GCSEs - help!
So, I'm in my mid-twenties and wanting to redo my Maths GCSE as an independent candidate. I dropped out of school when I was fifteen and managed to scrape about four GCSEs from distance learning that same year, although none of them were Science related, so I'm also really keen to get those ones too. I'm full time employed, but I want to open up my options a bit more and I'm realising that I need to get these in the bag before I can start working towards my alternate career path. I learn best on my own with no distractions (I have concentration/attention span issues) but am also lucky enough to have a friend with a Masters who's up for helping me out with it, which for me personally I think is going to work better than nightschool or online learning.
So now I'm wanting to get my study books and crack on, but have realised I need to know which exam board I'm going with before I buy anything, and I haven't got a clue which one would be best, out of AQA, Edexcel or OCR. So that's my question. Who do I go with?
If anybody's been in a similar situation and has any advice, it'd be really good to hear from you.
    Cheers.

Erm... Not really in the same situation but I've just finished my GCSE in maths, I'm 16, and I was with the Edexcel board and they're pretty much as good as you'll get.

If you choose the linear option, you only have to sit two exams in either November, March or June and you normally get your results faster too because they offer the free online results service.

The content is pretty much the basic GCSE syllabus found on all the exam boards.

If you wanted more exams but each exam having a focus on one specific area you should go for Edexcel Modular option. There's about 6 exams with like one specific option like statistics - however if you are a mature student that might be a bit too complicated keep having to organize your next exam...

    Hope that helps
