What actually determines your sexuality?Basically I'm gay, but life would be so much easier if I wasn't. I haven't been able to tell anyone and I don't think I ever will. I do wonder, why did I have to be gay? What is different about me compared to a straight guy that determined my sexuality?

On a more serious note, why is anyone attracted to anyone? It's an internal thing, it's something within you. For my money it's no weirder to be gay than to like only women with gigantic breasts. And significantly less weird than dressing up as an adult baby. (expecting negs from the nappy wearing crew) -

On a more serious note, why is anyone attracted to anyone? It's an internal thing, it's something within you. For my money it's no weirder to be gay than to like only women with gigantic breasts. And significantly less weird than dressing up as an adult baby. (expecting negs from the nappy wearing crew) -

Re: What actually determines your sexuality?I think it is the enviroment one is raised in perhaps. I doubt sexuality is determined by your genes. And nor is it a choice- you didn't chose to be gay. You also didn't chose to be attracted to males. They is nothing wrong with you. Just love yourself the way you are and someone else will

You don't have to tell anyone about it until your ready, this could be months or years. And before you even try to...you can't stop being gay. It is not a disease you can rid of, it is part of you and that is what makes you beautiful

It might help if you can give just a couple of reasons why you hate being gay.
Today we have progressed and it is something not to be ashamed of. There are these ridiculous stereotypes of gay men being weak, feminine etc. That is a load of bull. Go and google Matt Bomer- he is openly gay and proud. Oh and he is hot

) that 40% of gay people were raised by a single mother. So environment certainly has some sort of impact. Anyway you fancy who you fancy, labelling yourself is unnecessary.

OP, why don't you think you'll ever be able to tell anyone? It may be hard to come to terms with being gay, but one day you should be able to accept that you can't change who you are, and you'll be able to find someone you love, and who loves you back The world is a more accepting place now- I think in a few decades time or less that no one will ever really feel the need to come out, they'll just be dating who they are attracted to and no one will bat an eyelid. Or maybe I'm just optimisitic.
