If dressing up as a baby is wrong, then I don't want to be right!
    (Just kidding, I don't do this...much...)
I've always thought that 'onesies' are just on the cusp of that to be honest.

A combination of genetics, hormonal and environmental factors according to wikipedia.

I think it's to do with the structure of the brain, hormonal balances and so on.

I don't see why it would bother you. Most hardcore bigots are just closet gays anyway.

I'm curious...what do you mean by that exactly ?
The concordance rate for homosexuality in identical twins is higher than in non-identical twins and the general population. If there was a 'gay gene' that 100% determined it, if one identical twin was gay then the other one would be as well, because they share 100% of the same DNA. This isn't the case but it's higher than in the general population and in non-identical twins (so it rules out the shared environment as causing that, because the non-identical twins would also share the same environment).
Hope that makes sense, feel like I'm rambling.

How long is a piece of string?
Unfortunately your question is one of those very questions of which there is no real answer, only theories and guesses can attempt to answer your question.
Not just this but it's different for everybody.
I guess the most logical reasons to determine ones sexuality would be:
    Your genes and your upbringing.

You're right, something is starting... I think now is the time to set up a business selling dummies for adults! Watch out for me in next year's Apprentice, Alan Sugar's going to love this idea!

That is interesting indeed. However I have never seen a pair of homosexual twins XD.

Show me the scientific papers disagreeing with that and I will put them in the original post.

But, for the purposes of balance, you're also going to have to provide an at least equal number agreeing.

Indeed. I think what you need to know the answer to not what made you gay...but why you dislike being gay. You'll learn to accept yourself when you do know.

Nah, I was just highlighting it; not bother debating the topic. Just merely passing by :ninja:

But I don't want to be gay.
Neither did I, Find friends who will accept you for it, and really really keep them close!. Then tell your parents. If people won't accept you for you then they are not worth knowing.

And do not think that you have to conform to a stereotype, being camp, or caring about clothes. Im gay and cannot shop, nor am I at all camp.

Seeing as you dont want to be gay you probably dont behave in a camp way anyway.

    Most importantly be yourself.

    Goodluck!

Yeah I have noticed that too. This probably because Matt is a "celebrity" and there is a lot of pressure for him to look presentable. He has treatment done etc to keep his skin looking good. Maybe even the occasional botox but he is perfect anyway .

This is an open question in behavioural studies.

Given homosexuality has been identified pretty much all cultures, all countries and all time periods (and across several species) it is unlikely to be entirely upbringing or environmental.

At the same time, there is as yet no identified gene or group of genes that have been found to have a meaningful effect on homosexuality. Its not like 99% of all gay people have a curvey Y chromosome.

As I understand, it is likely we will find a genetic cause.

Oh and MadeInManc, being gay is pretty cool.

Agreed. Being gay doesn't automatically make you Louis Spence.

:hugs: I feel the same. I really don't want to be gay, I just want to love women so I can look forward to having an uncontrovertial wedding and an uncontrovertial family. I want to be able to hold my girlfriends hand in public without fear of someone saying something.
The people who feel that they need to say something need to rethink their thoughts.

Have you guys ever read this?

10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage is Wrong

    01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

    02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

    03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

    04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

    05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

    06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

    07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

    08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

    09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

    10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.
