That is definitely something we can help with!! You can either hang on until Freshers' Week and pop into the Student Activities Centre to ask them, or you can email them now - firstname.lastname@example.org. The Student Union would be able to assist you and give you advice if you ask them, setting up a new club/society and running it isn't too hard, but maintaining it and running it well requires a bit of commitment, something that should be easy in your first year
As mentioned above, you will need ten students to join with you, then you would be responsible for running the club, that might sound scary, but it's a fantastic experience, will get included in your Higher Education Achievement Record (new for first years) and you'll get plenty of support and advice along the way from the Student Activities Team.
