Will student finance fund me for a masters degree?
I am currently enrolled in a 4yr BEng and have one year previous study in another university in an unrelated subject, so my 'freebie' year has been used up.

If I switched to a MEng during my course, would student finance cover me for the final MEng year or would they say it is an extra year and I have to pay myself?

I'd talk to your university, senior tutor, or the student loans company to get your answer on that one.

id probably say so yes, considering there is something called a top up rule, as if you have to resit a year of your 4 year meng, you still can get funding

but i would check with student finance

i've already had one year at another university but so I think that counts as my top up year. So say I was to fail a year of my new degree I wouldn't get SF funding for it
