Re: Prison Relationships(Original post by senderos)
Being forcefully bum raped in the shower by a fellow convict isn't considered as being a 'relationship'
It's definitely possible, OP.. -
Re: Prison RelationshipsDisruption? In what way?(Original post by Annora)
I was having a discussion with my housemate who works in a women's prison. She believes that prisoners should not be allowed to have relationships with other inmates because it causes disruption.
I'm not really sure how to answer your question, but I'd understand why people would say no. A relationship means that they're having fun, and living a relatively normal life in there (well, normal enough that they're in a relationship), which is not what they're there for. They are there for punishment, and certain people - i.e. victim's families - would not deem it acceptable for them to get together with someone. -
Re: Prison RelationshipsHow do you propose to stop them?(Original post by Annora)
Romantic/sexual relationships. -
Re: Prison Relationships
It'd be like living with the person you've just started going out with. But you know they're capable of things. Bad things. Just like you are/were. And then you could go on heists together. But then argue because you have different methods, and it all goes tits up.
I have no opinion on whether relationships should happen in prison, if you've not gathered. -
Re: Prison Relationships
i dunno how u would be able to stop it but it seems to me that it wouldn't be the healthiest environment to have a relationship plus there's the potential for someone vulnerable being exploited/preyed upon - that said, i'm prob influenced by the fact that i've seen too many movies n documentaries where human nature is rarely appealing.
