Clearing Question
Hi everyone.
Today, I tried to get a space in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Glasgow via clearing, but unfortunately, there were (apparently) no spaces.
I then decided to look at the "Course Vacancy Search for International Applicants" section, and was surprised to see that there were quite a few places for different types of Mechanical Engineering.
Now, my question is, if these spaces aren't taken by international students - will they eventually be offered to "Home" students? -

Re: Clearing QuestionUnfortunately not. They're considered separately because universities are given a quota for the number of home students they can admit. If they go over this limit then they are fined. Or something like that anyway, someone else can confirm/correct me(Original post by RyJ)

Either way, they are considered separately and the spaces for int students cannot be transferred to those "Home" students.

Re: Clearing QuestionOh ok, that's unfortunate. An A in Adv Higher Physics all for nothing(Original post by Ecosse_14)
