I'm going into halls in September and I was wondering what I needed to be prepared. Do I need to bring things like an ironing board, cutlery, kettle, toaster, microwave, coat hangers for wardrobes, bin for my room, bedside light, toilet brush, cleaning supplies, clothes rack for drying clothes etc.
Also, would I need to buy a printer? Does anyone have any experience in this? Is having your own printer better (or cheaper) than having to go to the library?
How many changes of bedsheets would you recommend to bring.. one or two sets? Because I don't know how long it will take me to clean one set of sheets for them to be ready by that evening?
Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!

This will very much depend on which uni (and possibly which halls at that uni) you're going to. I would say that in general, of the things you mentioned, ironing board, microwave, bin and toilet brush will be provided and the others you will have to bring yourself.
Bedsheets - you're probably going to have to tumbledry them as there won't be anywhere to dry them. So you could probably manage with just one set (and this might be the best idea if you're going to be tight on storage space). However, 2 sets would be more convenient as it means you don't have to go to the launderette immediately if you need clean bedding.
Printers - again, may depend how much space you have in your room. And also how much you like to print (are you happy just seeing your essays on screen until the final version or do you prefer to read it on paper then do a final edit?) Assuming there is space, it will probably be more convenient to have your own but cheaper to use the library (temptation with your own printer to print things even if you don't really need to)

Things that would normally be shared between the whole flat will normally be provided by the uni. That includes ironing boards, irons, kettles, toaster, microwave etc. If they aren't provided, then your best option is to club together to buy one with your flatmates - you don't want 8 toasters in your kitchen!

Cleaning apparatus, including a vacuum, will normally be provided by the uni, and you will normally have a cleaner coming in anyway.

Things that are for your room / your use only e.g. clothes hangers, clothes rack, cutlery, pans and other cooking utensils (generally anything that requires washing up) will usually not be provided.

With regards to the bedsheets - I'd say that one is essential, and two is ideal. You'll need to replace them for second year (shared houses normally have double beds) anyway so don't spend too much. Perhaps you could buy one nice set (Primark has some nice ones) and then take a spare set from home?

I think the general rule of thumb is that if you're not sure if you need it, and will have to spend money to buy it, then wait and see until you're up there to see if you really need it. If you can scrounge an unused one from a family member (I, for instance, inherited some of my pans from my grandpa who had died a few months previously) then you may as well take them anyway. You're not going to Antarctica - things can be bought there (online if necessary!)
