What subjects did you do & What are you planning to apply for?
I do a humanities subject, and i'm very worried about it. No mark schemes or anything!!! :P (& i do sciences) x
Ah, I recognise you from the Biology thread. :^_^:

I took Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I'm going to be dropping Biology at A2. I'm applying for Chemical Engineering. I haven't set my choices in stone as yet but I'm thinking Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds and Newcastle.

    Which is your humanities subject?

I recognise your username from either Biology or Chemistry forums...
Always keep bumping into you. haha.

Wow, all sciences and maths then. Scary.
They are all really good universities. I'm trying to pick 4 top ones, and a not so good one, just incase I dont get my grades

    I study Religion & Philosophy.
I'm actually terrible at it, but the essay questions I got asked were perfect for me, so I must have been lucky!!
I think I'm going to apply to Nottingham as well. Maybe Manchester, but I'm not keen on it :P x

I haven't thought about Results Day too much. I've been doing quite a few other things so I can add them to my personal statement, and so my focus has been elsewhere somewhat.

I'm expecting the nerves to creep up on me the week of results though.

I took science subjects, so it's less subjective than the arts and humanities. I've seen some scans of the exam papers I sat, and also some unofficial mark schemes. There is one result that is borderline, and it is that result that I'll be mulling over more than anything else.
Yes, same here! Ah! I took Biology, History, English Literature and Art. I've avoided the mark schemes for Bio! I did well in BY1 so it has eased the pressure a little! But they are so dodgy! BY2 was a little bit weird! So I've not even wanted to look! Eeek!

Yeah, I was quite active in both of those threads either side of exams. And there are worse people to keep bumping into than me on TSR, I promise you that.

As I said, those choices are not set in stone. Bath is somewhere I'm considering, and that would probably replace either Leeds or Newcastle if I decided to apply. The standard offer is still AAA though. The only place that I've seen that I would consider as an insurance that has a lower standard offer is Surrey, and even that is AAB.

Religion & Philosophy isn't going to be pertinent to your application for Pharmacy I wouldn't imagine. Is it a case of needing a 4th AS at a pass grade, or do you require a certain minimum grade in it? Here's hoping you've done well in it either way!

I'm not too keen on Manchester itself, but the department is quite good and I live near Manchester. Nottingham has a very nice campus.

Hey don't worry! You will be fine.
My jan modules were affected, and I thought I had 3 D's, and I came out with AAB instead! So don't worry too much :P

Best of luck for the 16th xoxo

Re: AS Results and University Choices
I'm doing English Lang, Lit, Sociology and Graphic Design.
    The grades I'm expecting...hmmm...something like these I imagine;

    Sociology: A
    Lang: B
    Lit: C/B
    Graphics: E

Going to apply for Primary Education (Middlesex, Reading, Kingston, Greenwich, Roehampton at the moment) come September! I know I should really start thinking about a personal statement soon, but in my mind, I feel like I have no motivation to do anything uni related until I recieve my grades. Then I'll be able to see whether they look promising and whether I'll be in with a chance for uni!

Hoping for AABB in Music, Politics, French and English Lit, but it's probably more likely to be ABCC. Want to apply for European Studies, but where depends on my results.
