    Phonecall from "Acorn Recruitment"?
So... there was a message on my phone saying to phone a number given and to quote the given three letters.

My mum got the message and phoned them as they did not say who they were. Apparently it was a company called "Acorn Recruitment" about something I'd applied to online. (Inferring it was me as I was the only person who'd applied online for a job).

So my mum got me on the phone, and I told the woman the number I was supposed to quote, but she said she'd need to know what job I'd applied for. And that all she knew was that it was in the marketing sector.

However, I said I didn't think I'd applied to any marketing jobs so she said if the company was looking for me, they'd phoned back again.

Now that I think about it, the only job I think I've applied for online is Pizza Hut team member, as well as Tesco night shift. I was rejected from both the tesco night shift jobs. The Pizza Hut job I did through the pizza hut careers website, so I don't understand why an outsider recruitment company website would contact me. I had an email from Pizza Hut saying my application would be viewable by other pizza hut restaurants in the local area, so I don't know if it mean I was rejected by them or not. But anyway, would a Pizza Hut Team Member job count as "Marketing", because I don't think it would... considering it's only serving or cooking, or the general tasks.

Has anyone had previous dealings with "Acorn Recruitment"? I don't know whether to phone back again and say I applied for a Pizza Hut job if that's what it meant.

EDIT: I just googled the phonenumber and quoted letters, and quite a few people have had the same before... only they all say it's Bank of Scotland or Halifax credit card fraud department... and that it's genuine... WTF. I'm lost.

Acorn are a legit company, I live near their HQ, www.acornpeople.com is their website.
    However
If the number comes up for fraud etc, then I'd be very wary. As it could be a scam phone call.
