Joking aside in my opinion last year football wise was absolutely incredible there were some stunning games for the start to the finish and the battle at both ends of the table was intense!!

Looool he was good at times just not consistent tbh I just think since his injury he ain't been the same he's come back fighting just not to the level if wenger is going to be serious about winning changes need to be made not only buying players. Yeah I hope he improves Maybe loan may be good for him For a lil bit.(Original post by Schmucks)
You really want him to put sent out on loan? He's one of the brightest talents in the division right now, he was fantastic at times for you last season. Only going to get better, too!

Re: Who's going to impress this season?I know he could get a loan move to most (IMO any club) in the Premiership, but i'll personally cut my genitals off to have him at Leeds. Just saying.(Original post by JK10)

Re: Who's going to impress this season?
Chelsea to win the league I reckon... I know many people can't see them doing anything this year, but with the signings they've made and a couple of top drawer players they're strongly linked with, I can see them at least challenging once again.
Reading to have a good, solid first season back in the top flight. Maybe finishing 12th or something like that...
Brendan Rogers won't be at Liverpool come this time next year.
Swansea will struggle this year and I think they will finish rock bottom. Southampton will fare worse than the other promoted teams and I think they might get relegated aswell... As for final relegated team it should be tight, but i'll go for Norwich (largely because I'm a Leeds fan and I'm sick of them poaching our best player everytime the Transfer Window opens).
Wolves to win the Championship outright i'd say. Most people are tipping Bolton or Blackburn but personally, I think Wolves have a ready made Championship side (even if Fletcher does leave) and I especially can't see Bolton doing aswell as everybody thinks. As for Blackburn it's anyones guess haha. On the one hand they have financial muscle and some impressive signings, on the other they still have Steve Kean at the helm.
Leeds to sneak into 6th and win the playoffs :P
La Liga should be interesting this year... as much as it pains me to say, I just can't see Barca claiming back their title with Tito Vilanova in charge. On paper, and with a point to prove, I think Barca should storm the league this year, but alot will depend on how their squad respond to the change of management and how they fare without Pep.
Champions League tip: PSG to win it in the next 3 years.
Oh and a tip for future seasons: PSG to win the Champions League in the next 3 years. -
Re: Who's going to impress this season?Pienaar + Mclean to have a good season i reckon. They only played the 2nd half of last season (i think) and impressed me. Hoping they continue that(Original post by Femto)
So far nearly every player people have mentioned has been from a top four club. How about other players lower down in the league? They can impress too you know.

But in all seriousness the top 4 should all be doing alot better -
Re: Who's going to impress this season?Much more than four teams have been mentioned.(Original post by Femto)

Re: Who's going to impress this season?
what are your guys predos for the positions? Im going for:
1: Man U (to reclaim the prem- they always seem to do it whenever they finish second a season earlier
2: Man City
3. Chelsea (they have bought some insane players like hazard and oscar however they do look really weak upfront especially if torres doesn't perform)
4. Arsenal (and it's arsenal.....arsenal fc.................!)
5.Spurs (
6.Liverpool (it still looks like they have a poor squad)
7. Newcastle -
Re: Who's going to impress this season?Based on my opinion that Liverpool don't have the players to adopt his style of football and the fact that Liverpool (and by enlarge their fans) aren't exactly patient when it comes to transitional phases and new managers....(Original post by Pn94)
Based on? **** all. -
Re: Who's going to impress this season?Well we've signed two first team players who've previously played under the new manager so that should help the transition. And in general, our players are better than the ones at Swansea.(Original post by shaunbrockhill)

And why believe that myth? Every manager we've ever had has been backed to the hilt by the majority excluding Roy Hodgson because he was frankly a joke of a manager. -
Re: Who's going to impress this season?
Not going to be a popular viewpoint, but I think Tevez is going to have a fantastic season - he's in the best shape he's been in throughout his career in England and was in good-form in pre-season and played brilliantly yesterday, I know he's still a knob, but he's undoubtedly a fantastic footballer and can't wait to see him and Aguero next season.
Other than this, I'm looking forward to see how Liverpool perform under Rodgers, could be hit or miss but it could make the league all the more exciting if they're up there challenging for a CL spot. Same goes to Spurs, if they get a decent striker I can see them fighting for top 4, it'll be interesting to see how AVB does with them, I feel he could do very well at Spurs.
I also hope Torres has a decent season, he's had too much stick and hope we see some of the Torres of his Liverpool days as he is an exciting player to watch when he's on form - even if he is playing for a team that could potentially knick the title of us.
