Hi guys, please help in regards to me getting into uni
Hi guys, im new to this site so hello to everyone
My story is somewhat long but I will try to summarise up as quick as possible lol.

Basically ive just turned 27 and have decided i want to go to Nottingham Trent Uni to do a degree in Computing or Computer Technology.
When i turned 21 and finished school I went to college but they encouraged me to do VCE Double Award in Business so i completed that and got C C which equals 160 tariff points.. I did one level 2 key skill which was 20 points.
I then went to Leicester DMU and did a degree in marketing as the requirements back then (2004) were alot lower and got on with the 180 points..

I didnt finish the course and left a year later and since then have been working but my work experience isnt really relevant to I.T which i what i want to study..
They have told me I need to get the extra 80 tarrif points but I really need to know how because an A Level takes two years and I desperately need to go uni next Sept!! Also i heard of BTEC Subsidiary Diploma but i heard thats two years as wel??? I just need to know if i can achieve those 80 points in a year??? Pleasee help guys, thankss

You can self-teach A levels in a year, you just have to be willing to put in the work. Maths, physics, or computing would be the most helpful.

You can self teach yourself. You could also consider an access course which as far as I'm aware, lasts a year.

    You could teach yourself!

Also, there are things you can do besides a-levels to get UCAS points. Have a look on here....

Thank you SO much for your help guys. Really appreciate it Anybody know much about the one year BTEC qualification? I think you do 6 units and if you get a Merit it would give me 80 points? Just trying to find somewhere that does it in the Midlands.. Also with regards to self teaching.. How do I actually go about doing that? I mean how would I know which exams, coursework etc i need to be doing without a teacher?? Please help guys thank u
