Re: Has anyone done paid door-to-door fundraising jobs?
I had an interview for one, and once they described how it worked I realised that it wasn't for me.

They told me my shifts would be from 5-9pm every evening monday to friday. It was a company working on behalf of many charities and we were able to choose what charity we wanted to work for. We were told that we would be knocking of peoples doors in the evening around our area and explaining to them the charity that we are representing, why we feel passionate about them and why they should give us their money. If the customer wanted to help it would be a minimum of £10 a month on going payment for a minimum of 6 months and if we got them to agree to give more money then we would get a bonus. Then after they agreed we would come back the next day of later to collect their card details.

I just thought that the job is unreasonable, to be knocking of peoples doors and asking for money and I figured that many people won't open the door or would open the door hear what we're there for then shut the door in our face. It seems like a stressful, unsafe job and I don't recommend it because you will be out on your own.
