Hi,

So i want to buy both an xbox 360 250GB and a Ps3 Slim 160GB...

But the thing is...i cannot afford both brand new..

So do you guys have any idea where i can get both of them (used, but in a great condition) for a budget of about £250 ?

Getting both seems silly to me, though.. what's your reasoning behind needing both?

The PS3 you want seems to be £124.99 at Game, but out of stock. For some unfathomable reason the Xbox 360 is more expensive, so I'd go for the PS3.

Like Pranavian said, I wouldn't buy both (at least not at the same time) as the PS3 should more than keep you entertained for a good few months if you go through the back catalogue thoroughly, so you won't have time to play the 360 anyway.

Well I've owned a 360 since 2007 and a PS3 since 2010, and the only time I've played the Xbox recently was for Gears of War 3 and Mass Effect 3. The exclusive games for the Xbox have really dried up recently after a strong start early on in the cycle, while there has been an abundance of excellent exclusive PS3 games in the last couple of years after a slow launch. That's why I'd recommend a PS3 over Xbox these days.

Also I think the PS3 console itself has greater value than the Xbox because in addition to everything the Xbox has - it is also a Blu ray player, so I don't understand why the Xbox is more expensive.

Well i was all for buying only an xbox 360 after doing some research and reviewing the pros and cons of both the consoles (which i believe are both amazing of course).... UNTIL.. i saw the Uncharted series and the upcoming game ''The Last of Us'' and that changed my mind !

So initially my budget was only for the Xbox 360 250GB but then i changed my mind because i definitely do not want to miss out on playing games such as 'The Last of Us' which seems absolutely fantastic !!!

That's interesting, I got my xbox about the same time as you. I bought my PS3 at the start of this year but I still find I play my 360 a lot more. Perhaps because the number of xbox games I own vastly outnumbers the PS3 ones. I do think the PS3 is great value for money and I think it's great to be able to get the best of both worlds if you can.

I would just get a PS3 mate.

The Xbox has pretty much no significant exclusives, unless you are a big Halo fan. The PS3 has so many more quality games and the future line-up is also very impressive. With the next generation of consoles coming next year, Microsoft will probably abandon the 360 fairly soon.

Firstly, don't listen to the ps3 fanboys, both consoles have ups and downs.

What most people seem to miss is that an Xbox isn't just a games console anymore, it's more of a media centre for tv,films,music etc.

But if you aren't looking for any of that and purely games it depends. I used to own both consoles, ps3 was a paperweight basically, online was nothing compared to Xbox live - you get what you pay for. As for exclusives, both consoles have evened out around now.

Just throwing in my opinion; Owned both a PS3 and 360. the main thing that keeps me a loyal 360 fan is the online play, Xbox Live is vastly better than PSN - personal opinion though. As for consoles themselves - i've never had an issue with my 360 in 5 years, recently upgrades to the S and it's wonderful.

My PS3 broke after a year for no explainable reason, it kept overheating, was sent for repairs numerous times. I don't like like the Ps3 as a console.

With exclusives, both have some fantastic exclusive titles - personally, in the past, I've preferred 360 exclusives - I'm not really a fan of the uncharted series though which seems to be a big selling point for a lot of people.

Try and play on both perhaps and see which one you prefer?
