    HPLC columns
At the moment I have to analyze proteins with bio HPLC. But in my opinion our HPLC columns are not suitable for my researches. That´s why i´m searching for columns with a dimension of 150x2.1 . Currently we´re buying Phenomenex SEC columns. But this columns selectivity declines after increasing or decreasing the charge. Where can I get good advice? is it even feasible to try HPLC columns of diverse producers?

It's been a while since you posted and nobody's replied yet...maybe you should check out MarkedbyTeachers.com, TSR's sister site. It has the largest library of essays in the UK with over 173,000+ coursework, essays, homeworks etc.. all written by GCSE, A Level, University and IB students across all topics.

Handpicked examples show formative feedback comments from some brilliant teachers. Plus, reviews from A* students and hints, tips & common mistakes from their teacher team. You get access either by publishing some of your own work, or paying £4.99 for a month's access. Both ways give you unlimited access to all of the essays.

All their documents are submitted to Turnitin anti-plagiarism software, so it can't be misused, and the site's used by hundreds of thousands of UK teachers and students.

    Re: HPLC columns
    Hi callmetom,
the HPLC columns with a size of 150x2.1 you can get from any producer doesn´t matter whether to buy from Merck, Agilent, Grace or Thermo. Unfortunately i don´t know the Phenomenex SEC HPLC column, so i can´t help you with changings in selectivity. But i think it´s possible to test a HPLC column. If I remember right I bought uor last HPLC columns at http://www.analytics-shop.com/gb/chromatography/liquid-chromatography-hplc/hplc-columns.html and I could test the columns a few days. Perhaps you should just call them and ask.
    Good luck!
