Xavi is arrogant too. People are arrogant, it makes it fun. Lets all be boring people with no personality to make people laugh. I'm not going to cry because I won a championship, I'd smile at the camera and do something arrogant because I can. Bitter people here.

If he disrespects you, then beat him at his own game and shut him up? If you can't, then just let him do his thing, bloody hell everyone does it in something, I stop playing when I'm beating someone badly in fifa because I can get away with it. Sounds like one of the blake bashers.
It seems you did not get my point. I was trying to explain to him that their attitude/arrogance is one of the factors that make all the champions I cited the greatest in their sports. Bolt is probably also among them. I like all of them and recognise that their arrogance is a necessary evil and helps make them the champions they are.

You obviously don't realize the amount of immense stress these athletes face. He's not arrogant, most of his competitors want to beat him and want to see him down. He's just trying to maintain himself and the more he puts on a show the more fans he gets.

Yeah personally I prefer blake, he seems like a more down to earth sort of guy, not a hint of arrogance or showboating from him which I hope stays the same when he inevitably dethrones bolt at the next olympics.
Athletics is not a competition on who's the most down to earth athlete. They are running by the mini seconds to smash their opponents to bits.

Indeed, as I wrote those words I was aware of the irony.

But you are correct. I did say it first
you were aware of the irony. You feel the need to tell us this because of your arrogance

Bolt is not 'too arrogant'. I'm ****ing sick to death of people bashing sportsmen and women because they don't fit the ideal 'real sportsman' image. People talk about andy murray looking too miserable, and now we have you calling Bolt arrogant for displaying some personality and emotion. **** you all

What annoyed me more about Bolt was when he said that he doesn't train or enjoy training, I know that sounds ridiculous but it just made me feel so sorry for all the other athletes competing against him that have worked their absolute hardest to get to where they are, knowing they still don't stand a chance against Bolt. It reminded me of that one person everyone has in their year that has incredible grades but tells everyone they don't revise! So frustrating haha.

That said, I guess he can get away without training and at least he's honest haha  he is an incredible athlete and even though some of his behaviour can come off as arrogant it's entertaining to watch. Plus as everyone else has said he's earned the right to show off!

Fairly sure you need to very confident in sprinting.
You need to be very confident at that level in any sport.
There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and he has crossed it by a 100m or two.

His arrogance is justified. He's the best in the world at what he does. He's proven that time and again. Also he is fairly light hearted about it, i don't know why you find it annoying op.

    Arrogance is never justified.

But he alluded to the fact of not beeing fit enough to break the world record, which shows that acknowledges the fact that he hasn't worked hard enough for that.

If you have a problem then start a witch hunt. Good luck catching him though, you'd have to break the national speed limit.
