Re: Looking for anime with a strong plot that I haven't seen
I feel like I need more to work with than "strong plot".
As it is I'll just throw some with what I consider to be a decent plot among other things.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Fate/Zero
Akira
Welcome to the NHK
Ghost in a Shell
Spice and the wolf
These pretty much cover all genres, but as I said before it would be helpful if you could give a more specific description of what you want. -
Re: Looking for anime with a strong plot that I haven't seenSomething that constantly evolves rather than sticks to the same format every episode. Something unpredictable. Something with likeable character personalities including the villains if there are any.(Original post by Carecup)

Re: Looking for anime with a strong plot that I haven't seen
I'm noticing a distinct lack of Neon Genesis Evangelion, even the guy who has one of it's main characters as his avatar didn't mention it. It's a classic, it delves into psychoanalytical issues such as mental illness, the nature of existence and reality whilst exploring themes such as religion and philosophy. If you haven't checked it out yet then I suggest you should.
Also, try Elfen Lied, it explores issues such as social alienation, prejudice and the value of humanity; it's quite short (only around 11 episodes) so it's not too challenging to get through. It's pretty good, I'd give it a look. Also, don't let the first episode influence your first impression, that episode is (and most of the others, in fact are) quite notorious for it's violence but the story quickly turns more serious and becomes a lot deeper after a short while.Last edited by michaelhaych; 10-08-2012 at 02:35. -

Re: Looking for anime with a strong plot that I haven't seenI need to see fate zero, what did you think of the main series that it's based on?(Original post by NotYourAverage')
FateZero or ZETMAN. -
Re: Looking for anime with a strong plot that I haven't seen
I would recommend watching fate zero first, since its a prequel to fate stay night. All in all, it was really good, but since I already knew what was going to happen, it wasn't as exciting, but it was still really good. I would recommend it.

Re: Looking for anime with a strong plot that I haven't seen
One Piece, it's quite long though. 500+ episodes, but what I like about it is how indepth each characters are. Filter arcs which are very rare are short like less than 5 episodes unlike some others (opps sorry bleach
)
I see you haven't watched Naruto too. Not that strong but o k.
Ao No Exorcist
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Soul Eater(Ending was lame though)
Beelzebub
Deadman Wonderland(Haven't watched it tho, but it's everywhere?)
Kuros h i t s jui aka Black Butler
Gintama

Avoid the anime adaptions like the plague.
