Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
Basically in my school, we all que up outside a room (usually the library) and inside the room are two teachers who call you in one by one. On the table is a4 paper sheets with everyone's results and they find your one, tell you to sit down on a different table and discuss the results with you. You then have to walk out past the que, all of your friends asking "What did you get, what did you get?"
I just want to relax and open it by myself

Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
My school said in their letter that after students open their results by themselves, they go to the cafeteria and speak to the exams officers about accepting or declining offers or clearing.
And I'm opening my results in a secluded area in the playground.

Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
My school has a line of tables in the canteen and you just queue up when you get there and they find your results for you. You can open your results where you want but once you've opened them you have to queue up to go into a room next to the canteen (so the queue often extends back into the room where people are still opening results) to talk to a teacher and let them know what whether you got into uni/are going into clearing/re-applying etc

Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
We wait outside our main hall for a teacher to give us our results individually. After that, we go into one of two rooms. If you get the results you wanted, you go to a certain room to register for Upper Sixth. If not, or if you've changed your mind about certain subjects, you go to a different room to chat to one of the more senior teachers or say "I need until Monday to think".
Good luck with your results, everyone!
I think with after how badly Further Maths went, I shall be opting for the latter option!

Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
that sounds hideous and very time-consuming. ours were arranged in alphabetical order in the gym a-l one table and m-z on the other then everyone just strolls up to the table, said their name, signed and were given an envelope. i took mine away and opened them in the car. can't be doing with all this fuss of having pictures taken for the newsletter bla bla. feels like yesterday! good luck for your results everyone

Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
We go into the sports hall, tables are arranged in alphabetical order so you just go up and say your name, then we have to show our ID cards and they give us an envelope, you can open them wherever you want
My Sixth Form doesn't open until 11.30 though, that seems pretty late compared to other people I know :/ -
Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
I don't like the sound of that, too tense

There's like 8/9 desks in the school hall with a card which has surname A-C; D-F etc.. if your surname starts with A,B,C, you go to that desk and ask the teacher behind it to hand your results over.
Quick and easy

Sounds awful
my school's just like most by the sounds of it, alphabetised tables that we queue at, get results in an envelope then you can just go if you want. Most people stick around to talk to teachers/friends/have pictures taken and stuff though.

Re: Does anyone else schools do this on Results Day?
My school has alphabetical tables set out in the canteen, you go to your allocated table and are given your results on a piece of paper to take away with you. No envelope though which annoys me because they always look at what you got before giving it to you.
