Sports Journalism advantage?
I'll be pplying to get into sports journalism courses in 2013, and i'll be scraping through on my grades, maybe even falling a little short if i'm honest of what UNI's are expecting, so if any of you have done this course or something simillar, is there something within the next 6-12 months i can do to make my application stand out and help me book my place?

Keep a blog, write as much as you can in it (like, I see from your username you like Aresnal so keep a blog about Aresnal and post news/match reviews/whatever frequently), and try and get some work experience at local newspapers/magazines/radios/tv stations. If you really think you'll struggle to get in maybe try and learn Teeline shorthand so you can really show your dedication to becoming a reporter.
I think with journalism courses unis also take into account things you do outside school/college because journalism is so practical, so hopefully this will help. Good luck, and try your hardest to get the grades
