Hey, well anyway I went back to school on Wednesday and we had a new timetable, I wanna get into Oxford or Cambridge for a Uni (i know im aiming high), I picked Modern Studies, History, Maths, English, Chemistry as highers

I also had a question, I did an A level fairly recently and I was curious to see whether that counts are Advanced Higher level or not.
What do you mean if it counts as AH? It's generally the equivalent to an Advanced Higher, yes.

That's not exactly aiming high on TSR, half the people here aim for Oxbridge

It's just so strange - I haven't even considered applying to any English unis, let alone Oxbridge! It just seems so "out of reach" if you know what I mean.

To all those S5 people, be sure to work your arses off this year, because trust me it WILL pay off in S6, and, frankly, the rest of your life.

I'm studying Biology, Chemistry, English, History, Mathematics and Physics in fifth year. I was actually hoping to study Higher Computing as well but after my Depute Head's apprehensive approach to taking six Highers I decided to forget that idea. State schools aren't particularly good at accommodating their pupils.

Six is more than enough... Do Computing in S6 if you really want to (It'll be a nice easy A for you ). How's your six Highers going so far?

I don't resume school until Thursday. If the three weeks before Summer were anything to go by then the workload seems manageable.
I've no doubt that it will be hectic at some points of the year but I'm sure I'll prevail..

What subjects are you studying for sixth year?

    Hi guys! :hello:

I'm doing Higher Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology and French this year. I'm enjoying all of my subjects so far but I'm kinda anxious about English, two essays in one hour and a half scares me
It's a bit daunting at first but it gets easier with practice. I did int2 in 4th year and the writing exam is the same as that. :yep: Although be prepared for blisters. :sadnod:

True, I mean we're 2 years away at least and people have already decided what uni and what degree etc that they are doing, it seems a bit rediculous to me. :curious: Each to their own I guess
