The Filofax Appreciation Thread

I know you stationery addicts love Filos :teeth: (Me too!)

Whether you've got a personal Holborn in brown or a black mini domino, this is the thread to show off your appreciation and love for the addictive little buggers, seek out cheap filofax compatible bargains, share pics and spread the vice that is a filofax addiction

To start - what Filofax do you have/want to own?

I have a black A4 zipped metropol for uni and I've just ordered a personal sized Finsbury from Amazon in raspberry as a journal/general day to day filo. Can't wait til it arrives

I have a personal Swift and it is beautiful! Have started decorating my dividers with pictures and making it mine! They are brilliant!

I'll upload pics of my metropol when I've done the rest of the dividers - I've only done two so far, so 4 to go (I'm drawing on them )

oooooooooooooooooooooh, this is the thread for me

I ordered a purple A5 malden a couple of days ago- I can't wait until it arrives! I bought the 2012-2013 dodopad acad-pad to go inside. I need to buy some stickers and stuff to decorate it when it arrives. So excited to use it for uni

I've got a Personal Domino in grey, with cotton cream week on two pages diary inserts. I really want one of the more luxury versions, but I don't really have the cash to splash right now.
I just ordered a black Personal Domino... even though it's probably one of the cheapest I actually love the whole 'elastic fastening' thing... it reminds me of Indiana Jones' dad's journal in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

I have the personal Songbird :3
This thread was long overdue aha!
After reading the stationary thread and this thread I really want a filofax of my own!
But I don't have clue which one, don't know much about all the different types etc. so if anyone can reccommend one that would be great  I'm also only going to be starting college so it doesn't have to be too complex.
Eurgh, my Finsbury won't be here until September 13th at the earliest :frown:

I have a beautiful Pocket Songbird Filofax, its green with pink birds. Currently have paperchase diary in and the paperchase dividers which im hoping to customise
Raspberry Personal Metropol owner here, haven't really customised it yet. How do people print out/cut personal sized inserts?!

Also, Chameleon :coma:
The website Philofaxy is very useful for reviews, and seems to be run by a hoard of crazy stationary ladies. They include videos of set-ups and pros and cons etc. This is the site I used to pick my Filofax which is coming next week! Cocolate Aston Personal in preparation for uni!!! So excited.

eBay sellers do a lot of the inserts cheap at £1-3! So I would take a look there first before rushing to Jarrolds or Ryman's.
Due to my results I will be getting my Filofax in the next week or so...not sure which one, any reccomendations?

I want something classy, preferably leather, and in a feminine but not too bright colour (suitable for office use after uni)...and I've decided on a personal size.

If money is no object you could get something like this: http://www.filofax.co.uk/store/organiserdetails.asp?sizeId=3&rangeId=172&dsizeId=3 - i think its very classy, but i'd never be able to afford it!

Theres the classic for £80 which i'd love in pink, but if you dont want something that bright you could go for the cherry! Its beautiful: http://www.filofax.co.uk/store/organiserdetails.asp?sizeId=3&rangeId=86&dsizeId=3

A cheaper alternative would be the chameleon as its currently 50% off, so nice:

I'd buy them all if i could!

I love the osterley! I want it in plum  Just a word of warning with the classic, lots of people have had problems with the plastic covering peeling after about 8 months and so they have to return them, Gail wrote about hers here: http://gailwheatley.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/scruffy-personal-classicsorted.html

Ooh thanks for the heads up, shall remove the classic from my wishlist now! Dont want something like that happening, no matter how wonderful the filo customer service are...

Loving gail's blog btw! Currently drooling over the pen organiser and the array of stationery

Do you reckon the personal size is large enough for uni? I want to be able to carry it around in my bag with my laptop but I don't think A5/4 would fit! I just don't know how much writing i'll be doing in it :frown: I'm doing a Science course so I can't imagine there'd be that much...Advice would be good from anyone using one at uni!! thanks in advance
